You could see dogs serving as companions, squirrel chasers, cooks, baby sitters… So how about a dog who enjoys his life being a monk?
Meet Friar Bigotón (Friar Moustache), the stray doggie who became a member of a St Francis Monastery in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The saint after which the Franciscan order was established is known as the patron of animals, so the monks felt it was necessary to have a “brother” who’s not human. They adopted the dog and made him on of them, all the brothers love him so much, so the doggies spend his days being spoiled, playing and running all day.
Friar Bigotón even wears his won frock and attend his monk duties. “[Here’s] Brother Carmelo preaching to the fish,” wrote Franciscan Kasper Mariusz Kapro?, who first posted these adorable photos online and then went viral after that.
